Google and Facebook help connect the world and provide crucial services to billions. To participate meaningfully in today’s economy and society, and to realize their human rights, people rely on access to the internet—and to the tools Google and Facebook offer. But Google and Facebook’s platforms come at a systemic cost. The companies' surveillance-based business model is inherently incompatible with the right to privacy and poses a threat to a range of other rights including freedom of opinion and expression, freedom of thought, and the right to equality and non-discrimination.

Have you thought about running for office?
Even if you haven’t, consider the following: Americans are close to rebellion against the political establishment. National polls consistently show that roughly 60% of Americans - and over 70% of millennials - agree that the establishment parties are failing us, and that we need a new major party.
With 2020 elections coming up, now is a great time to think about running for office as a Green to help build the movement for people, planet and peace over profit.
We will be holding a Green Campaign School this Saturday November 9th in Madison for prospective candidates, campaign managers, and anyone who would like to gain the skills and knowledge needed to be an essential part of a successful campaign.
We highly encourage people who are planning to run for office (or considering a campaign) to attend, as well as prospective campaign managers and other key team members.Read more

We highly encourage people who are planning to run for office (or considering a campaign) to attend together with their prospective campaign managers and other key team members. The campaign school is also open to anyone who wants to support Green campaigns and would like to gain the skills and knowledge needed to be part of a campaign team.
The Fall Gathering has now been updated with the agenda and schedule - see the event page for details.
Help us build the growing movement for people, planet and peace over profit: come to the Wisconsin Green Party’s Fall Gathering membership meeting in Milwaukee on Saturday, October 12th!
This is an especially important membership meeting, as we are already looking forward to Spring and Fall 2020 elections and other opportunities to make change, both inside and outside the political system.
All members will have the opportunity to participate in decisions affecting our party and discussions aimed at growing the Wisconsin Green Party into the transformational political force that we need.
The Wisconsin Green Party stands in opposition to the proposed addition of 18 F-35 multirole combat aircraft to Truax Field in Madison.
The proposed F-35 expansion at Truax field would have major negative impacts on public health, quality of life and the environment in our state capital.
We urge everyone in Wisconsin who cares about our future to voice their opposition to this project now.
Read on for details about why bringing F-35s to Madison is a bad idea for people, planet and peace.Read more
Have you heard the 2019 Annual National Meeting is a month away in Salem, Massachusetts??? We hope you can join us out there, or at least follow along online with the events. It is a great opportunity to network with Greens around the country, get more involved in the issues that are most important to you, and learn about our 2020 presidential candidates and lots of Green ideas. When we say 'a lot of ideas,' we mean to say more people proposed workshops than ever before. In fact, the WIGP co-chairs will be presenting one as well. If you would like to experience all of this live and in person, you can find all the details here.
If you cannot attend, please consider donating to our scholarship fund in order to send more Wisconsin Greens to represent our state. As a party, we are working toward a model of politics which does not hinder people from participating based on their socioeconomic status, and with your help, we can give more people that freedom this year.
If would like to contribute to our scholarship fund, and make a fellow Green's day, click here.
If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please send a statement telling us why you would be a good scholarship candidate to email@example.com for the Coordinating Council's review with the subject Scholarship Candidate by July 5th. Please also include information about which costs you would need help covering, like meals, housing, transportation, and registration, and how long you plan to stay. There may be cheaper options for you on some of these items as well if you would like to carpool with other Greens or stay with Green Rainbow Party members from Massachusetts. For more information about carpooling and housing click here.
