The Wisconsin Green Party is sponsoring the new Count My Vote campaign to push for fair elections in the State of Wisconsin and ensure that everyone's vote counts in the Badger State. On Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017 at 4pm on the steps of the Wisconsin State Capitol at the top of State Street in Madison, the WI Green Party and Dr. Jill Stein will present our report with its findings and recommendations at a Rally/Press Conference and will launch our Count My Vote Campaign.  

The Wisconsin Green Party wishes to express our appreciation to the nearly 4000 volunteers in Wisconsin helping with the recount. We are also extremely grateful for the support of approximately 150,000 people who donated an average of $50 each to help defray the $3.5 million dollars required to pay for the recount, and the encouragement we've received from Greens around the country, at local, state, and national levels, from chapters and individual members. It has been a fast and challenging process, and you have made it easier. Thank you.

Thanks to the hundreds of concerned people who attended the Wisconsin election observer training Tuesday evening in Muskego.  If you were not able to attend, you may watch a video of the session on the Wisconsin Green Party Facebook page. The printed materials including the observer manual will be available here sometime on Wednesday morning. Please check back soon. Join us for the Wisconsin Green Party Annual Meeting. We'll be discussing this last election period and more importantly, planning for the future. People interested in running for or helping elect either state or local office are especially encouraged to attend. Activist, singer, and Stein/Baraka supporter YahNé Ndgo will be the featured speaker at UW-Madison at noon Thursday and UW-Milwaukee at 6:30PM Thursday evening.  YahNé replaces Jill Stein, the Green Party presidential candidate who has become ill and recuperating at her home in Massachusetts.  The rally will feature YahNé and several other voices from the Green Party.  This meeting of Green Party supporters is not only to support the presidential campaign of Jill Stein but also to continue the Green movement that continues after Election Day.   Continue reading
