We’ll get started with hot coffee and a rousing post-election political discussion. How do you feel about the elections? What should WI Greens do this next year? Oh! Did we say that Jill Stein would be calling or skyping-in to speak to our WGP Annual Meeting? After your pre-ordered lunch, together we’ll discuss and decide on important resolutions such as Standing Rock and oil pipelines, a Wisconsin candidate school, member internet privacy, dues structure and creating a Young Greens Caucus. Elections will be held for state officers and our state Coordinating Council (CC). Our CC is composed of two representatives of each Wisconsin Congressional District and one representative of our Women, Diversity, LGBT and new Young Greens Caucuses. Our Annual Meeting registration is a suggested $25 for current dues paid members. New Greens are encouraged to be members of the Green Party of the US by paying Wisconsin annual dues that are $25 or what one can afford. The meeting registration fee is waived for new members. Late that afternoon, we’ll hit the streets of Kenosha for a public Rally in Support of Standing Rock and against fossil fuels, maybe at Paul Ryan’s office. After dinner on your own, our gracious hosts, the Kenosha County Green Party, will be providing a fun evening-social and fundraiser for the Kenosha Clean Water Initiative. This will end a great day of progressive politics. If in Kenosha Sunday morning, you’re welcome to join us for the first meeting of our newly elected Coordinating Council (CC), as all Wisconsin Green Party meetings are open to the public. Our new CC meeting will begin at 9 am at Fusion with coffee, bakery and fruit. The CC will establish its committees and a calendar of events and plan for monthly conference calls, our strategic planning, campaign school, Spring Membership Meeting and chapter and leadership development.
